Khalil Sleiman

Khalil Sleiman serves as the National Director of World Vision Niger, with full leadership and operational responsibilities. From March 2024 to July 2025, he held the position of Regional Humanitarian and Emergency Affairs Director for West Africa at World Vision International. With more than 22 years of service at WVI, he brings extensive expertise in humanitarian leadership and emergency response. Khalil has served with the Global Rapid Response Team, led the Syria Response in Iraq and Turkey, and held senior leadership roles in Tanzania, Mauritania, and Lebanon, including directing the organization’s response during the 2006 Lebanon War. He has managed emergency deployments across Africa, the Middle East, and Asia, and contributed to the establishment of WVI operations in multiple fragile contexts. Fluent in Arabic, French, and English, Khalil holds a Master’s in Agricultural Engineering and is pursuing a Doctorate in Management. He is married with two daughters.
